Day 28 & 29 - Saturday & Sunday
Hey all! It's Adrianna
Hey all! It's Adrianna
Since our Spooky Day was interrupted by the birth of our son, we decided to carve our pumpkins when we finally got home. I decided to go with a traditional jack-o-lantern.
Jules decided to try carving a ghost.
Our pumpkins turned out great! We set them on the deck outside our bedroom.
Then we returned to our normal routine, being constantly interrupted to take care of Ricky, of course. (Adrianna discovered all of the potions at the chemistry table.)
Jules has learned many elixirs and he tests them on himself, which makes me nervous. More often than not, they work. He's really gotten some use out of his skil booster elixirs. (Jules reached painting level 3. I chose Steel Bladder for him, 10k points. He mastered alchemy.)
I also had a greenhouse built because I saw one and I liked it. Maybe one of my future grandchildren will put it to good use.
I went back to stealing under the cover of the night and rain. I haven't gone back to work yet, but I have set myself a personal goal on how many items I can steal so I figured I should get back to it. (She stole another jelly bean bush, a light and some flowers.)
Ricky received a toy in the mail from one of his elders, so I put it in his crib. It looked like a silly little thing but he seemed to take a liking to it. We call the toy Patterns. We also received more gifts, so I wrote some thank you letters.
Jules takes care of Ricky while I'm out and then I do the same for him when he has to go out to the alchemy shop.
When Jules got back from the alchemy shop, he told me about the honey he harvested and the insects/rocks/gems he collected.
He told me when he got home, he found these sunshine gems near the Sunflowers and that they made him feel really good for around an hour while carrying them. (+40 moodlet: Sunshine - Here comes the sun!)
We were also kinda startled to see this when we went to eat dinner. A freezer bunny gnome with a Santa hat and beard. Oh well . . . it can join the rest of them, the ones we bought and the ones that have shown up.
Over the weekend, Forrest called our attention to the fact that it was his birthday.
I realized that he would now be considered an elder. He has gray fun around his face and along his back. It made me kind of sad. I didn't know exactly how old he was when I adopted him but I was expecting me son to be able to grow up with him.
The following day, it was Jenny's birthday. She would be an elder now too. (Lieutenant reached level 6 of his hunting skill and Dan reached level 9.)
I vowed to spend more time with them in their golden years, to enjoy them as much as possible.
I finally decided to head out Sunday night to banish some ghosts and I left Jules at home to take care of Ricky.
When I got home, I found this kid. Apparently he's our on call babysitter. Jules was nowhere to be found. The kid said Jules was babbling about investigating a mysterious anomaly. I got really worried.
This appeared at the end of our driveway. (I missed the abduction. ARGH!!!)
Jules and an alien appear, then the alien disappears.
Jules was freaked out about it but he seemed fine. (-10 Abducted moodlet for 10 hours.)
Jules would occasionally think about it and get freaked out again, but he would be okay. He received a phone call that he sold items on consignment for $756 and was promoted to Junior Mixer. (Later that weekend, he sold items worth $2569 and was promoted to Recipe Inventor, and immediately to Master Mixer.)
We found the gnomes gathered in the greenhouse. The freezer bunny gnome was riding a llama. We had to laugh.
We headed back inside to prepare for a party. It was Ricky's birthday and I was determined to throw him a great party.
We headed back inside to prepare for a party. It was Ricky's birthday and I was determined to throw him a great party.
We invited all of Jules family except for Joe, because he asked me out on a date the last time he was here. Jules was very insulted to learn about this.
We danced and we ate, then it was time to blow out the candles on the birthday cake for Ricky, before everyone decided to leave.
So we all gathered around the cake, including Jules werewolf friend, and made a lot of noise to celebrate Ricky's birthday.
Ricky really has grown since the day I brought him home from the hospital. Such a handsome little boy.
Ricky promptly started to sing to Patterns and ignore the rest of the party. The party turned out to be an epic success and we all felt amazing for having attended. That's how I want it to be for my son. Epic.
