Day 30 & 31 - Monday & Tuesday
Hey all! It's Adrianna.
Hey all! It's Adrianna.
I'm very happy! We were given this car as a gift! I ride my motorcycle and Jules rides his broom, but I wanted something to teach Ricky to drive in. (This gift was received in game from Torii_Lee. Thank you!)
I still had a few days off, so I spent Monday morning teaching Ricky how to talk. He caught on very quick! By the end of our session, I think he had the concept mastered, even though he still had a lot of words to learn.
There was finally enough light outside to see the snow building up from the storm that was blowing in. It's finally full-blown winter! Jules got out and hung our holiday lights before the snow got too heavy.
I was just fascinated by the foggy windows of the greenhouse, having come from a tropical part of the country before moving to Moonlight Falls. I collected the sunbeams from the sunflowers while Jules hung the lights.
It finally got too cold and the snow too heavy to work outside, so we headed inside to check on Ricky.
Ricky was happy, but somewhat frustrated, playing with his peg box.
I took Ricky upstairs to work on potty training and he successfully used the potty. It had been a while now that he hasn't dirtied his diaper.
He's always in such a hurry to get away from the potty when he is done. He hasn't started to walk yet, but he can sure get around crawling.
I read Painting 101 to Ricky until he was too sleeping to stay awake. It took a while. I think he grasped the basics of painting before he grew sleepy.
Naturally, Ricky seemed wide awake when I put him in his crib but I left him there to play with Patterns until he fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Jules was talking to the magic mirror, trying to be charismatic, but just looking like a goof. I giggled and left him to it.
I checked outside. It was still snowing pretty good but I had some work to do.
I checked the mail and found a love letter from Jules' brother, Joe. What is wrong with this guy?! I ripped it in small pieces and buried it in the snow. Then I took my spirit positioning device and my Spook-O-Meter, and headed for the graveyard.
I found a couple of nice ghosts at the graveyard, and then I had to move to a different location. I found my fourth ghost near the science lab so I dropped off my donations and headed home.
Besides the science lab being convenient, I was getting chilly anyway. I could see my breath in the cold, cold air.
Jules got up with Ricky to feed him breakfast. We both drank our sleeping elixirs so we were well rested by the time Ricky woke up. Apparently, by the look of that face, Jules wasn't moving fast enough.
I had a big mess to clean up when Ricky finished his breakfast.
I decided to try a jelly bean from the magic bush and the first one left me feeling somewhat embarrassed.
The second one left me feeling educated.
The final one was too spicy! So I called it quits on the jelly beans.
Jules and I spontaneously made out in the kitchen. We both felt very good about our relationship, having been faithful to one another . . . despite Joe. (+10 Faithful moodlet forever so long as they stay faithful.)
Lieutenant interrupted us, wanting to play. I indulged him and played some tug of war.
We decided to go to the winter festival and found this stray dog outside. It was uncanny how much she looked like Jenny and I wondered if they were related.
I told Jules to go ahead and I'd meet him there. I had to wait for the babysitter to show up.
(I told Adrianna to go to the festival with Jules and Ricky, but she ended up plopping him into the snow instead. I don't know why she didn't take a cab or the new car instead of her motorcycle. They usually do when taking a toddler, even if they have a preferred vehicle. Oh well.)
When I got to the festival, I admired the icicles while looking for Jules.
I spotted the snowboarding ramp and knew that's where Jules probably was, so I went to get a drink.
Jules spotted me and waited while I ordered a drink.
I ordered an eggnog and walked back to watch Jules snowboard.
He was still learning, but he pulled off some pretty sweet tricks. (He earned 40 festival tickets from snowboarding.)
I used some of my fall festival tickets to get myself a mistletoe, then headed over to the ice skating rink.
I had this guy come up to me and grab me, introducing himself as Theodore Lum. I pushed him away . . .
. . . and we fell. I hurried off the ice and asked Jules to get a hot cider with me before we head home. It was getting kind of late for the babysitter anyway.
We ordered our drinks and headed home. Overall, it had been a good day!
A Note From ShayDLane: Surprisingly, no one gained any skills. Well Ricky did gain logic one from the peg box. Jules charisma just wasn't increasing when practicing in front of the magic mirror. And he has the friend requirements, so I don't know. Jules earned $506 from the elixirs he had on assignment on Monday, and $221 on Tuesday. Once again, I forgot to have Adrianna steal anything. I'm not doing so well on her lifetime wish, and I'm not getting ANYWHERE on Jules lifetime wish. I need to have him practice his magic a lot more so he can curse some people, and then cure them.
